EDUCATION

The practice has designed many types of educational buildings, from day nurseries to new secondary schools to university research facilities.

Design of schools forms a major part of the practice’s work load. We have operated to a large extent in the state school sector working for LEA’s and directly for many foundation schools, becoming well known not only for the skilful design of all types of school buildings, but also for our ability to guide schools through the DfES procedures for building procurement. Independent schools have featured strongly in our work, particularly in the area of specialised facilities such as Science buildings, Design Technology buildings and sports provision. We have carried out designs for an entire new primary school, 3 secondary schools and 2 new special schools.
